REWARD FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO THE ARREST AND CONVICTION OF THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR POACHING A BIGHORN SHEEP RAM
On or about November 20 through November 22, 2025, a poacher unlawfully killed a Bighorn Sheep Ram near Riggins, Idaho. This crime is currently under investigation by the Idaho Department of Fish and Game (IDFG). The Idaho Wild Sheep Foundation (IWSF) has offered a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this crime. In order to raise funds for this reward the IWSF is asking for pledges so that the reward will be as high as possible to encourage people with information about the identity of the poacher to come forward. Therefore, we are asking for pledges to assist in this campaign. Based upon the pledges received, IWSF and IDFG will publicize the current amount of the reward on an ongoing basis.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PLEDGES:
CHARITABLE PLEDGE AGREEMENT: This Charitable Pledge Agreement (the “Agreement”) is entered into on the date when you submit your pledge to IWSF. The IWSF is an Idaho nonprofit corporation with its principal place of business at PO Box 8224, Boise, Idaho 83707. IWSF is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization dedicated to is to enhance wild sheep populations in Idaho, and with partners in adjacent states, for public enjoyment, education, and fair chase hunting; to promote professional wildlife management and protect sportsmen’s rights. By submitting this pledge, you desire to support the IWSF’s mission through providing a reward for the conviction of the poacher described above.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises contained herein, the public benefit derived from the IWSF’s reward program, and the IWSF’s reliance upon this pledge to publicize the amount of the reward, the parties agree as follows:
IWSF will publicize a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the poacher(s) responsible for the above-described poaching incident. This reward will be payable at the discretion of IWSF based upon information received from IDFG and/or the prosecutor’s office responsible for the prosecution of the poacher(s).
The Pledger hereby unconditionally pledges to pay to the IWSF the total sum listed above towards the reward (the “Pledge Amount”). The Pledger agrees to pay the Pledge Amount in full within 30 days of the conviction of the poacher(s) responsible for the above-described poaching incident. THIS PLEDGE ONLY OBLIGATES YOU IF THE POACHER(S) IS CONVICTED BASED UPON INFORMATION RECEIVED FROM SOMEONE ELIGIBLE TO CLAIM THE REWARD.
Legally Binding Promise. The Pledger acknowledges and agrees that this pledge constitutes a legally enforceable promise under Idaho law. This Agreement forms a valid and binding contract, supported by consideration as set forth above. The Pledger intends for this pledge to be irrevocable and unconditional, except as expressly provided herein.
Representations and Warranties. The Pledger represents that they have the financial capacity to fulfill this pledge and that it does not violate any legal obligations. IWSF represents that it is duly organized under Idaho law and eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions under Internal Revenue Code § 501(c)(3) and that the pledged amount will be used for the reward described herein.
Enforcement and Attorneys’ Fees. If the Charity must commence legal action to enforce this Agreement or collect any unpaid portion of the Pledge Amount, the Pledger agrees to pay, in addition to any judgment or decree entered, all reasonable attorneys’ fees, court costs, and other expenses incurred by the Charity in enforcing its rights hereunder. This provision shall be enforceable under Idaho Code § 12-120(3) (governing contractual attorneys’ fees) and shall survive any termination or breach.
Governing Law. This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the Ada County, Idaho.
Entire Agreement; Amendments. This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties and supersedes all prior agreements. Amendments must be in writing and signed by both parties.
Severability. If any provision is held invalid, the remainder shall continue in full force.
